2005 was Jun's year. Hana Yori Dango started.
2006 was Nino's year. Letters from Iwo Jima.
2007 was Sho's year. Fulfilled his dream to be a newscaster in NewsZero and the world opened up to him after that.
2008 was Ohno's year. Freestyle and Maou.
2009 belongs to Aibababy ♥
With them, everything comes in 5. I don't think they intended it to happen that way but it just did.
What this about the Japanese not happy there's a Japanese adaptation of Gantz? Worried about the CG and the cast (NINOOOO)? Oh heck. The thing is not masterpiece anyway. The manga is flawed and the anime sucked. The concept and idea is pretty interesting and definitely is a wonderful material for a movie, sans the porn, REALLY. The action is fabulous with wonderfully done CG and the dialogues terribly needed more tweaking. Certainly those talented actors cast as leads will bring GANTZ to a whole new level.
People here and this person here are underestimating Ninomiya Kazunari as Kei. Eventhough the guy was the LEAD in Clint Eastwood Oscar nominated movie, he's still just a boyband member is it??? WELL, my boy Nino don't need to prove anything but I hope he'll blow their expectation off with his Kei. The thing is... I haven't watched Nino owned a whole work like he did in Ao no Honou. He's an actor who likes to "share" and blend rather than stand out. I want to see that selfish Nino again. Really too bad I have to wait 2 years to watch this movie. A lot will happen in 2 years. I just hope I'm still here, loving Arashi like now 2 years from now and is happy with Nino's Kei.
In other news..
Aiba did very well in My Girl and made me cry while I'm totally in ove with Momoka-chan.
Channel[V] screwed us up (probably its Johnny's fault who's not into international promotions much >.<). Hopefully we'll see that promised Video[scope]
Let me leave you with this excellent fan video by proOhno about Nino days basking in the blue light.
I'm really bad at wishing and made a fail wish post at my LJ ^^;;;
Can't help but getting emo and comparing myself to all the lovely post celebrating their birthday (still need to “get past the station of depression” < Subarashiki Sekai anyone? I really want to hug Nino reading his comment on that song)
What I really want to convey is.. I truly love them.
I'll keep on clinging to this invisible thread that bind me to them, to this love that's intangible yet so comforting.
Arashi, I wish you health, love and happiness. Be safe and stay humble.
To the 6th member, lets keep on supporting them together :D
I'm so grateful to have found you guys.
Happy 10th Anniversary ♥
I WANT TO EAT IKAN KELI
I shall declare this month as:
LUST4NINO MONTH
Y^^Y
LUST4NINO DAY
yup.
Japan is seeing a rise in what has been called a generation of male herbivores (soshokukei), men moving away from the traditional masculinity of their forefathers. What's your take on this change?
There's a poll. I voted "I'm worried it could have a negative effect on the birth rate. " XDD
It sounded so unattractive.. somewhat but the description fits Nino :x
Ushikubo concluded that the soshokukei boys have a combination of the following characteristics:
• They are not as competitively minded about their jobs as men in older generations.
• They are fashion conscious and eat sparingly so they can stay thin and fit into skintight clothes. (He doesn't like to eat much..)
• They are chummy with their moms and often go shopping together. (Ohno XD)
• They are not interested in dating girls, having relationships, or even having sex (choosing from a plethora of "self-help" toys instead). (Nino have had girlfriends.. and I guess he won't need "self-help" toys.
The other 4 can be his toys XP)• They are very tight with their money and often carry several retailers' "point cards" around, declaring that those who don't pinch pennies are stupid. (SO NINO)
Knew it. She's bound to snag one stormy sooner or later. hoping it's Aiba tho..
ok.. late respond..it is hurting a bit now.
I bet it'll hurt so much worst if it's true
He he he.. yygal told me I was featured in the Vox Entertainment page. I'll post another thought just for that when I have time to spare. Currently browsing the net for "Akira", the other anime/manga that will get a live action version courtesy of Leonardo Dicaprio (and his company).
Old but interesting scoop..

Joseph Gordon Levitt Says No to 'Akira'
One of my very first posts on Cinematical was on Leonardo DiCaprio's Akira
remake -- and my inbox was flooded for days with cries of protest and
racism. Hopefully, all of those readers will be pleased at the news
that at least one Anglo-American is no longer associated with the
production.Joseph Gordon-Levitt was caught by MTV at the Toronto Film Festival, where he blew off any and all suggestion that he was ever cast in the film. "That just goes to show what you can believe about what people write about movies. I love the movie Akira. I still have yet to read the manga, but that's really just a rumor. They don't have a script or anything." Quite possibly, DiCaprio isn't going to star in it either -- that was never mentioned in the initial trade stories, only from a source on Ain't It Cool News, who probably just saw a potential cast list or something.
There has been no news from the project since it was announced in February, there was nary a word about it at ComicCon, so I think we can all safely forget about seeing it next summer. Apparently, it wasn't on the fast track after all. Or maybe they heard the angry outcry from Akira fans from places like Cinematical, and are rethinking the entire thing. Perhaps the whole project is in the process of dissolving -- or maybe they heard the angry outcry from readers like you (wow, I sound like public television) and are rethinking the entire thing. Perhaps fans will get not only a faithful adaptation, but one with Japanese actors. I know, I know -- but we can dream, right?
